Sam Rudiger blends her bicoastal upbringing into her current installations. Born in Virginia and raised in Oregon, Sam’s work integrates traditional art disciplines with organic natural forms. She has worked in diverse media which include mineral painting, large scale murals, printmaking, oils and water color painting, ceramics, and sculpture. Her interests in art led her to pursue a Fine Art Degree (BFA) at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Specializing in ceramics, Sam has continued her love of mix media and painting. After her graduation in 2003, she moved to San Diego California and now lives in Portland Oregon. The art scene and local community of Portland have inspired her recent painting series.
